CELEBRATION TIME!!
Having a Blues Festival....
We are almost there!!. Please
come out to this final show to hear
to some great blues, while supporting the KVBA and the Kalamazoo Blues
Festival. We need to have a great turnout to push us forward and reach
our goal! I know the bands are not "Kalamazoo" bands. But
they are great blues bands. They have one thing in common - they love the blues and they
are supporting the KVBA and the Kalamazoo Blues Festival.
When
6 Hands Down bring their
exciting blend of original blues & rock to the stage, they leave
audiences on their feet and wanting more! Proud winners of the
2007 and 2008 Capital Area Blues Society's Blues Brawls in Lansing,
Michigan. The band represented C.A.B.S. at the 2008 (semi-finalists) and
2009 (top ten finalists) International Blues Challenges on Beale Street
in Memphis, Tennessee. Yet they take the time to step up and help
out the KVBA with their fundraising.
The Fatt Lapp
Blues Band is dedicated to the preservation of original Blues, with
sound and lyrics to stir heart and soul, helping folks see life as it
is. Bass Guitarist, Asamu Johnson, a long time musician, formed the Fatt
Lapp Blues Band in 1996, in Grand Rapids, MI. Fatt Lapp has formed a
bond between Chicago Style Blues, to create a unique sound appealing to
listeners and dancer of any age.
