Should we bring the kids?

We encourage it! Children 12 and under are admitted free of charge at all times (so long as they are accompanied by an adult member of their household). Saturday afternoon is full of activities for the kids. Tie-dye, arts and crafts, and face painting is all part of the fun. They can soak up the music and the fun just as much or more as the adults at the Kalamazoo Blues Festival.

This sounds like fun. How can I get more involved?

Volunteer to work the festival or join the Kalamazoo Valley Blues Association. Volunteer benefits include free admission to the festival on the day worked, a volunteer festival t-shirt, and free admission to the volunteer appreciation party: free food, great music, and a darn good time! Volunteering is easy and so is joining. Both the volunteer and membership applications are available on this web site.

Where can I park?

There are several city-owned parking structures within a block of the festival site and there is plenty of on-street parking available.

For more information on parking click here.

Please observe posted signs - if it says you will be towed, you probably will.

Will there be any merchandise for sale at the festival?

You will be able to purchase t-shirts, hats, CDs, and other items at the festival site. Some artists bring their own CDs and sell them at the festival too.

Sounds good; what about getting in the gate?

We work hard for our money and we know you do too...we have held the line on our festival admission for several years (and have only modestly increased admission prices to cover rising costs). We believe the Kalamazoo Blues Festival is one of the very best blues festival values you'll find.
  • Thursday night admission is $5 (5pm 'til 11).
  • Friday night admission is $10 (5pm 'til 1am).
  • Saturday admission is $12 (noon 'til 1am).
Children 12 and under are free (as long as they are accompanied by an adult member of their household)

  • Driver's License (a necessity no matter what your age if you plan on consuming alcoholic beverages)
  • Sunscreen
  • Sunglasses
  • Camera
  • Lawn chair
  • Children
